Dennis Owenby - Dennis is a specialist in the areas of  Functional Fitness and Golf Fitness Training. He holds various certifications that include TPI Level 1 &  TPI Fitness 2 Certified (Titleist Performance Institute) Golf Fitness Specialist - NASM Functional Aging Specialist - FAI Senior Fitness Specialist - AAHF Corrective Exercise Specialist - NASM. His desire is to help all clients achieve balance, wellness and a healthy active lifestyle with programs that improve daily function through 3 dimensional multiplanar movements.  In other words, “train for the movements of life or a specific activity”

Golf Fitness: TPI (Titleist Performance Institute), is an evidence based, educational pathway designed to increase a players performance. TPI's physical screening process identifies both mobility and stability issues responsible for various swing characteristics. If a particular swing characteristic is limiting the golfer's performance, a personalized strength and conditioning exercise program can be developed in order to address those limitations.

Golf fitness is all about being fit to play the game at an individual’s highest level and doing so without causing injury.

What is Frequency Specific Microcurrent?

Phillip Carlin - A native of Michigan, Phillip is a proud parent of three beautiful children. Phillip is a Certified Stretch Zone Practitioner and Fascial Stretch Therapist. He is also Certified with the American Council on Exercise (ACE) as a Certified Personal Trainer and Orthopedic Exercise Specialist. 

Spending years in the mental health field and earning a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from the University of North Carolina at Asheville allowed Phillip to see first-hand the link between a person's physical and mental well-being and inspired him to turn his own passion for physical fitness in to a career. 

Phillip is an avid competitor in the local Strong Man scene and is committed to helping individuals reach their personal health and fitness goals. 

Tricia Thompson - Yes, 'Strong' is her maiden name! Tricia is a certified Personal Trainer with the American Council on Exercise (ACE) and holds a Level 1 Certification in Fascial Stretch Therapy. 

Tricia has lived in Asheville and worked in the fitness industry since 1999. Her job titles have ranged from instructor/coach to manager/director. From the varying levels of experience, she has grown to realize that her work is most satisfying when she works directly with people guiding them during their workout sessions. 

Her favorite feedback from a client after a session is, "I didn't even know I had muscles there!"

What is FSM and why is it so unique?

James Sanders - ISSA trained and certified James moved to Asheville from Miami Beach, FL in 2011 where he worked as a fitness trainer. He has a passion for overall health and wellness, and enjoys running, hiking, yoga, weight training, and sound nutrition. Core fitness and Practitioner Assisted Stretching with Certifications in the Stretch Zone Method as well as Fascial Stretch Therapy are important practices in his method of training his clients as well as sound dietary practices.

James is an avid runner and has completed a full marathon in Phoenix, two half marathons in Miami Beach and Asheville, a 16k in Amsterdam, and several 10k’s. Combining different modalities of fitness is key to his own success at staying healthy, and sharing that knowledge is what he loves to do.

Michael Miranda - As an EMT and Personal Trainer I know what it takes to both achieve and help others reach their Health and Fitness goals. Getting Certified as a P90X Instructor has increased my value as a fitness industry professional. It's given me the ability to reach out to whole new set of people who want to get fit, achieve results, and it's given me a specialized skill which helps me stand out amongst my peers.

As the Owner, Certified Stretch Zone and Fascial Stretch Therapy Practitioner as well as Frequency Specific Microcurrent and Whelton Myofascial Referral Technique Therapist I'm amazed on a daily basis as to the incredible results achieved through our Health and Wellness program and am passionate about bringing these life changing modalities to our community and abroad.

Martin Greedy- is a personal trainer certified by the National Academy of Sports Medicine.

His love for helping others has carried him into positions as a certified Golf Professional Instructor, as well as both a ski and paragliding instructor in the Swiss Alps.

His years of experience have made him unmatched in his diverse knowledge of interpersonal coaching skills and progressive techniques in core conditioning.

Stretch M.D. was birthed out of the concept that we shouldn’t have to live a life in constant PAIN! Waking up with severe pain and just getting through the day is not normal yet we see it all the time. People have put up with pain for way too long and have been told or convinced that living with pain would be the new norm. Our typical clients have limited range of motion, take over-the-counter painkillers… or see a family practice doctor who prescribes opiates. They may also see someone who specializes in some type of injections and receive temporary relief at best.

These Clients are desperate for relief and Here’s what we tell them: Pain is like an onion. It’s complex. As Functional Movement Specialist, we peel back all the layers, to determine what’s really wrong.

Regardless of the pain, there rarely is one single cause therefore by default there are usually multiple factors that come into play. Nerves. Muscles. Joints. Your diet. Your lifestyle. Your work. They all play a role in pain. And unless we uncover those multiple causes, we can’t help you over the long term.
